Stars in Her Eyes

Our first assignment began with a bang! An unexpected make over at Stage, tHe Spring which ended us with us going ahhh... Uuhhh... Oohhhh... Wowwww...

Stage is affordable and oh, the colours are amazing! Give it a try if you're looking for something as good as MAC but cheaper. ;)

The lucky girl? A friend of us, Laila. The transformation by Stage is fantabulous and you won't believe how different Laila looks before and after!

Curious? Let's us start the journey!

BEFORE: Laila, 23, is a substitute teacher at a highschool in Sibu. She has this natural beauty to her face. Gorgeous big brown eyes, high cheek bones (Why, if she wasn't too shy, she could have had a modeling career!) and smooth fair skin, Laila is one good example of Sarawakian beauty.

Since time is scarce with her hectic work schedule, she rarely have time to pamper herself.  We started the transformation by offering her a DIY facial treatment on her first day in Kuching!

At the moment, we absolutely love Benefit's 'honey... Snap out of it' facial scrub, a morning scrub which helps to exfoliate as well as clean the skin with the help of soft almond, honey and vitamin E in it. Plus, if you leave it on for a further three minutes, you can count that as a facial! After the treatment, Lai's skin is more refreshed and supple!

Back to our adventure, since Laila never experienced a complete make-over before, we thought she'd make one perfect candidate!

Laila was not too comfortable with the idea of plucking her eyebrows as she had a terrible experience once. She went overboard with the plucking, thus ended up having a very thin eyebrows. We had to explain to her many times that the make-up artist will only trim just a little bit to tidy her eyebrows a bit and giving it a definite shape. She surrendered and gave us all her trust.

The transformation was not even complete, Laila already looked stunning here! Smoky eyes, black eyeliner... Ooh La La!

Is this still the same Laila? Oh, wait, there's more to the make-over!

What is a make-over without fake eyelashes???

Magic: Fake eyelashes and bam! You're not you, anymore! In a good way, of course. ;)

We shall demonstrate in the photo below:

What more can we say? The fake eyelash really made a big difference, don't you think so?

Laila had Kristen Stewart in mind when asked what sort of make-over she wanted. Oh, the colour of the lipstick really does go well with her dramatic and sexy smoky eyes.

AFTER: VAVAVOOOOOOM! Is this really Laila? Laila herself was very surprised to see the transformation! Look at how even more beautiful this Bidayuh-Malay lass is with make-up on!

Close-up: Smoky eyes was definitely a good choice as it highlights her gorgeous eyes even more!
